MACEDONIAN PRESIDENCY OF CEFA

On 21 June 2013 in Plovdiv, Republic of Bulgaria, it was held the General Assembly of CEFA (Central-European Fair Alliance), being attended by 30 representatives from 12 trade fair organizers and 2 associated members. The host was the International Fair Plovdiv. At the Assembly it was held the annual election of the President of CEFA 2014 and it was Skopje Fair that was elected to undertake the Presidency of CEFA 2014.

Skopje Fair will undertake the Presidency of CEFA 2014 from the International Fair Plovdiv, i.e. from Mr. Georgi Gergov, the President of CEFA 2013. The President of CEFA 2014 will be Daniela Gligorovska, the CFO since 2001 in Skopje Fair and и CEO since 2009 in the Skopje Fair Group, as the first woman President in the history of CEFA.

Also at the General Assembly it was elected Mr. Matthias Limbeck, the Managing Director of Reed Messe Viena GmbH, as the CEFA Chairman until 2016.

The next CEFA General Assembly will be held in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, in June 2014 and it will be invited 26 top authorities of the trade fair organizers from 17 countries.

CEFA - (Central-European Fair Alliance) was founded in January 1995 as a network of trade fair organizers that provides establishment of intense business contacts among its members, and thereby enforcement of the significance of Central and South-East Europe for the international trade fairs and exhibitions. Skopje Fair is a member of CEFA since 2002.

The objective of CEFA is to tackle new problems in an age of increased globalization with solutions that offer new diversities, establishment of new opportunities and potentials, аnd, with the fact that it includes countries from Central and South-East Europe, CEFA contributes especially to the European integration. In order to realize this objective CEFA established a network of communications, know-how exchange and training for quality improvement of the organization and marketing services.
